You love dogs, we love dogs, and we all want to help them! However, the supply of dogs needing help seems endless, and the resources are limited. To help make those resources go further, here is some information for dog-lovers in north central Florida (and beyond).

If you’d like to find out more, please email us at info@popb.org. While we love to talk about dogs and Gainesville – two of our favorite topics! – we are very limited in our resources. In particular, we have no kennel facility or building, and we are not a public shelter. We cannot investigate cruelty cases, take in strays, or accept owner surrenders.
Please remember that we are all volunteers – this is not our job, and we do not have any legal or moral responsibility to help every dog in need. We want to help them all, and we do as much as we can. But we have limits and we hope you will respect them and appreciate how much we do accomplish. By expanding our community, we can do even more. We invite you to join us! But please don’t ask us to “do something” to help a dog if you are not willing to step up yourself.
