Introduction

Thank you for volunteering to be a Foster! Fosters are our most valuable resource as they help us save more dogs!

Before you start, please make sure you are eligible to foster.

Fostering Requirements:

1. The foster must be at least 18 years old.

2. The foster must have identification showing present address.

3. Consent of all adults living in your household.

4. Owner/landlord consent if renting. We will be reaching out to them, so please arrange this in advance. (Many apartments or landlords have breed or size restrictions even if they do allow dogs.)

5. A veterinarian reference check for any current pets. All pets must be up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.

Thank you for fostering for Plenty of Pit Bulls (POPB)!

By typing your signature below, you certify that the information you have provided on this form is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge.

You also release POPB from liability for any damages that might occur to your person or property as a result of volunteering with POPB or fostering a dog for POPB.

We will inform you of any medical or behavioral issues of which we are aware with dogs that you are fostering or handling.

However, we usually have little or no history or information about the dogs we take in, particularly if they were found as strays. POPB does our best to determine the condition of each animal and to monitor and manage their behavior as best as possible.

For the safety of all humans and dogs involved, we ask all volunteers & fosters to exercise care and caution.

By signing this waiver you agree to the following:

1. To follow all instructions given to you from board members, area
coordinators, senior volunteers, etc.

2. Not to allow any dog you are handling, or fostering, to interact with other
dogs unless you have received explicit permission from POPB.

3. To inform POPB of any behavior issues or concerns you have, so that we can
help resolve these as soon as possible.
